Our client came to us with a fantastic idea, inspired by his personal struggles with phone repairs. From visiting multiple shops, enduring long wait times, and facing insane prices, he envisioned a simpler solution that would save others from the same hassle.
The Challenge
We were tasked with bringing this vision to life by addressing three key objectives:
Create a modern, tech-forward brand that resonates with a younger audience.
Simplify the process of finding a reliable technician for phone repairs.
Build a user-friendly mobile app to help technicians manage appointments, payments, and customer reviews seamlessly.
Research & Strategy
We began by identifying two primary user groups:
Customers who need quick, reliable phone repairs.
Technicians seeking additional income opportunities.
Through extensive research, we uncovered the pain points for both groups and developed a strategic approach to solving them. Our process included:
User flows: Mapping the journey for customers and technicians.
Stakeholder interviews: Aligning the product vision with business goals.
Product strategy: Prioritizing features that mattered most.
Information architecture: Organizing content for clarity and ease of use.
Competitor analysis: Learning from existing services to improve upon them.
Wireframes: Translating insights into actionable designs.
This research also informed the branding, ensuring that the visual identity reflected the product’s purpose and appeal to its target audience.
Bringing the Product to Life
Our design philosophy was simple: eliminate unnecessary steps and focus on user-friendly solutions. Drawing inspiration from intuitive platforms like Uber and Lyft, we prioritized clear messaging and seamless experiences for both customers and technicians.

Easy booking system for calls.
Chat functionality to connect with technicians.
Post-service reviews to build trust and transparency.
To ensure the product met user needs, we continuously validated our designs through stakeholder feedback and usability testing with potential users.
Outcome
The result? A clean, efficient, and highly functional platform that redefines the phone repair experience. Trufyx launched successfully with a pilot program in New York City and received excellent feedback from both customers and technicians.
Since its launch, Trufyx is expanding to other states in 2022 and has gained recognition, being featured in MarketWatch and Exeleon Magazine. This project demonstrated the power of user-centered design in turning a personal frustration into a scalable, impactful solution.
